By using your body, modifying your body, you can go into [different] states of consciousness and discover the true nature of life and yourself. - Fakir Musafar Birth Support Professional Radical Midwifery Student I'm a radical (from the root), queer-identified, feminist birthing professional (currently a full spectrum Doula, including traumatic births, birth support, pregnancy loss - whether that be miscarriage or abortion; while considering postpartum certification) - and a full-time Mama. Extremely passionate about sexuality education, birthing politics and legislative advocacy, and opening doors to all women regardless of sexual orientation, race, educational background, and other socialized labels of being. I'm a sexualities educator, and attending post-secondary academia in pursuance of midwifery education (specifically a Certified Professional Midwife at the Midwives College of Utah). I'm in current pursuance of IBCLC status and Childbirth Educator certification (through BirthWorks International). I'm one of two Regional Directors for Nebraska Friends of Midwives (the Tri-City chapter) - and one of two leaders for the newest chapter of ICAN (Central Nebraska). Currently: Placenta Encapsulation certification via PBi. Constructing the Doula Project (ask me) for the Midwest. Becoming a Certified Professional Midwife.
