This movie rules so hard! First of all, I have to say that I'm not a huge horror fan, but this was such a pleasant surprise..All credits to the writer and director Tom Six for such a bold idea,he made a gruesome thrill ride in which the disturbing freak show nicely comes to part with nail biting sequences of finely crafted tension making it a squirmy experience. The acting is awesome,especially by the lead actor, Dieter Laser is as creepy as they come,he moves from cold, deranged,giddy in a perfectly pitched performance, a repellent joy to watch. The centipede played by Akihiro Kitamura, Ashley C. Williams and Ashlynn Yennie. The two girls begin looking like annoying, but when the situation becomes "fucked" they step it up a notch. .This film is certainly not for everyone, though it is relatively "light" gore, I suspect many will find it too freaky and disturbing,it is aimed quite squarely at fans of the twisted and as lover of twisted cinema I must say I loved it.

An amazing and outrageous true story(more or less) involving one man in international corporate conspiracies,corruption,deception and betrayal....This is one of those cases where truth is,indeed,stranger than fiction.A lot stranger....Only problem with this film is that Steven Soderbergh has tried to make a funny movie about a situation that isn't inherently funny,I felt, the whole thing had been done in a rush without real conviction,just to grab another "Oscar hunt" role for Matt Damon....really shallow...

It was the pioneer in 'Gonzo journalism' and sent Thompson's star even higher than it had with Hell's Angels. Although it's one of my personal favorite books, it could have been tricky to adapt it- Alex Cox tried and failed- but somehow Terry Gilliam digs into the Thompson psychology, dementia, and off-the-wall humor, while also putting his unmistakable mark on the material.".....couldn't agree more

An absolute masterpiece!Like in all the Coen brothers movies,there are many allusions in the film.In A Serious Man many of the allusions are mostly Biblical.Larry(masterly played by Michael Stuhlbarg) is a classic working man ( by occupation,a physicist and as we know modern physics strikes at the very heart of faith,mystery and their law) a good man to whom many bad things happen with no explanation..and just like in the bible as God speaking to Job from out of the whirlwind,saying He will not explain why these bad things have happened to him.The original Job had actual punishments and kept his faith.Our Job(Larry) has existential punishments and ends with a lack of faith.In this slow paced,blacker than black comedy,filled with a sea of subliminal messages we are presented with a with a huge paradox.

A true showcasing of a master directors talent, the suspense is strong and flows very highly in the movie, the script is beautiful and works through the whole movie, never a moment that makes the story vague on it's subject or going overboard, leaving the soul purpose . The quality of the writing is nothing less than impressive, there're no cheap moves, no unnecessary distractions, no manipulations to sway you one way or another. This mystery / thriller seams like a thriller to the greats in this genre, especially Hitchcock and combines it perfectly with politics, making it even more conspicuous ... Great job, my years favorite so far....
