A wonderful book. I loved reading this shortly after Gladwell's Blink. The way they contrasted one another was interesting.

I can't think of anyone who would not benefit from reading this book. The world is changing. Here's how.

A good book on influence and the psychology that makes us do the things we do. It is fairly light but it's a quick read and it does give a decent introduction to the topic.

I read this while at the Dunnett's cottage one summer. It was a fun read and I loved hearing about Toronto in the 60s.

Classic Godin. A complex thought communicated in a clear and concise way. This is one of my favorites from him.

I picked this up based on @andrewparker's recommendation. It's a short, quick read that covers the invention, commercialization, adoption, and decline of the telegraph. The history is fascinating, as are the various characters involved.
I found the struggles of Morse and Cooke to show commercial value and gain broad acceptance of the telegraph to be the most interesting part of the book - it seems that commercialization has never come easily. - Fraser on January 29, 2010 at 10:49amFraser commented on Empire Falls on getglue.com
An examination of a familiar life. Deliberately slow moving and better for it.

One of my favorite books. This coming of age story about two cousins, Joe and Sammy, in 1940s NYC is deserving of the Pulitzer it won.

I read this book over the Christmas break and loved it. Part period piece, part biography, and part true crime, the juxtaposition between good and evil was fantastic.

This was enjoyable. I believe Chabon wrote it while a student. His writing feels raw and unrefined here compared to newer works.

I still chuckle that the title had to change for the American release. "Philosophers Stone", apparently, was too confusing.
