Watched this movie this weekend and it really struck a nerve. Perhaps the parallels between my late grandfather and his four own children were too strong, but I ended up bawling at the end. Sometimes we get wrapped up in our own lives and forget about what'll always matter in the end: family.

Anyhow the supporting cast is okay, but DeNiro really steals the show by doing a great job as the father coming into self-realization and making amends. Definitely a great movie to watch with the kids or parents.

Reason why IMAXes were invented.

The ultimate scifi flick. I remember knowing nothing about the movie when I watched and being blown away 30 seconds in when Trinity does her hop, skip, and jump across buildings. What a ride.

And to all the haters of the sequels. Reloaded wasn't bad, just different. Us fans wanted more of the same, but there clearly was a different theme going. "What is reality" was the theme of the first versus "Free will". But i'll admit Revolutions was poorly shot. The theme itself was good (hey i'm a techie, i understand ctrl alt delete) but the overuse of CGI killed it.

Visual feast. Watch it only if you like fantasy though.

A view of the world painted in broad strokes, detailed in human relationships. And all in a mere 2 hours.

What a great action and special effects flick. Remember that scene where the bad terminator oozes through the jail cell bars in that silvery goo to get out? I thought that was so badass, so futuristic. LIttle did I know what the movie industry had in store for us.

Had moments of awesomeness: "I LOVE my babies. Why would I want to PUSH them away from me?" But yeah some moments too melodramatic, too soundtrack-intensive. Still enjoyed it though and the idea of family.

Requires total suspension of disbelief, but it's still fun.

Sexy. Raspy. Voice.

True story of a con man forced into survival mode. Great overall performance--solid without overacting.

Great storytelling crossed with powerful imagery. I preferred the storyline between the two brothers over the love story.

The verbal diarrhea that spews out of Jay...I wince but I know I love it.

Twisted plot happening between parallel planes, executed beautifully through Terry Gilliam. Ending could've been better though...

Having grown up watching Hong Kong movies directed by John Woo I remember thinking whoa he keeps using the same theatric elements: releasing doves, multi-person gun stand off, and covering each other faces. Still good though for what it is: a fun action movie.

Everybody wants to be Mr. Black.

I remember thinking this was how life in Boston would be like. Wicked smaht janitors running around needing therapy. Great flick though.

Raw and unflinching. A normal wedding turned dysfunctional--brought on by one crazy sister. Loved the directing and how it made me feel.

Christopher Nolan can do no wrong.

The dilated pupil says it all. Movie was more visual than plot-focused. But with this kind of message it's more than enough. Ellen Burstyn in that crazed vacuuming scene? wow wow wow

Such a deeply satisfying movie. Hence the redemption in the title.

Tugs at your heart strings. A bit dramatic yes, but sometimes that's the fun in a romantic, period piece like this.

You're so money baby and you don't even know it. What a fun movie.

Loved it. So creative, along with awesome imagery. My only complaint was how annoying Kiefer Sutherland was, but i guess it was just being true to his character.

Finally, a James Bond who has the swagger and the skills but is still flawed. Plus it's centered around poker. Nuff said.

A classic. One of those suspense movies, like Memento, that you should watch again.

See Uma. See Uma's ugly feet. See Uma kick ass. Good stuff.

Guns. Gangs. Betrayal. Scorsese given free reign on a good script and a stellar cast. What's not to like?

Classic tarantino. Long scenes with seemingly mundane (but witty) dialogue. Needless gore and violence. Loved it.

Ryan Gosling gives an amazing performance. Loved the non traditional story and the friendship that develops between the two.
