Finished reading this book on plane - definitely a worthy read. The book is written in reverse chronological order and traces mysteries ranging from modern secret societies all the way back to beginning of civilization.
My favorite part was about Ancient Mysteries, although modern financial manipulations were a revelation to me as well.
One last thing, the ending of this book is quite shocking and might leave you pretty shattered - so make sure you are ready. - Alex Iskold on March 7, 2010 at 12:16amAlex Iskold liked Heart Of A Dog via Glue Suggestions

This book is stunning. To fully appreciate it you should first read Hancock's other books like the Message of Sphinx and The Sign and the Seal.
I am a science guy, but was open minded going in. While I do not know if I can accept everything described here, it is certainly one of the best ways to think about mystical things I've ever encountered.
The book reminded me of Godel, Escher, Bach - interlinking subjects as diverse as ancient cave paintings, drugs, hallucinations, aliens, fairies, DNA and origins of mankind. It is certainly a treat and I highly recommend it. - Alex Iskold on March 1, 2010 at 4:06pmAlex Iskold liked Goldilicious via Glue Suggestions

An entertaining read, like the first one. It is a bit sensational and slapped together at times, but overall is worthy of a plane ride.

- Alex Iskold on February 7, 2010 at 12:40amAlex Iskold favorited and commented on Sign and the Seal: The Quest for the Lost Ark of the Covenant on amazon.com
Better than any detective story - the Quest for the Ark of Covenant by Graham Hancock is a wonderful treat.
Tracing the history behind one of the most enigmatic objects author takes us on the historical adventure of a kind Indiana Jones himself would envy.
Lucidly written, and well researched - highly recommended. - Alex Iskold on February 3, 2010 at 11:49pmAlex Iskold liked and commented on The Message of the Sphinx: A Quest for the Hidden Legacy of... on amazon.com
Just finished reading this book - it is seriously awesome.
Fun, intelligent and profound investigation into one of the world's greatest mysteries - the Pyramids of Giza.
Authors use mythology, astronomy and first class detective work to unveil the connection between the stars in the Orion galaxy and the layout of the valley of kings.
They proceed to draw further connections with a much more ancient secret, which if true, could change the way we view our true origins. - Alex Iskold on January 24, 2010 at 1:32pmAlex Iskold favorited and commented on Holy Blood, Holy Grail on amazon.com
Mind blowing read. A historical chase through secret societies, bible all the way back to Jesus uncovering a series of shocking revelations.
Greatly researched and highly readable. Even if 10% of stuff in this book is true, you won't think about Christianity in the same way again.
The illustrated edition comes with pictures of paintings, maps, landscapes and is well worth the price. - Alex Iskold on January 20, 2010 at 1:46pmAlex Iskold liked The Cluetrain Manifesto: The End of Business as Usual from George Howard's books

This is indeed a great book, unique, elegant and powerful. There has been a lot of praise for it already, so no need for me to repeat it.
Instead I will say that the only negative for me was that the middle part was a bit too long for my taste, but the last few parts were really great. - Alex Iskold on January 1, 2010 at 3:53pmAlex Iskold liked and commented on What Would Google Do? on amazon.com
