I treat my Facebook account (and my Twitter, Bebo, MySpace and blogs) very much like my sitting room at home. It's where I relax and pontificate in my blowhard way. I also treat it like my sitting room in that the people I let in here, they're here because they are clever, witty, informative or just good damned fun. I won't agree with all of them always and sometimes they'll get pissed at me for not shutting the hell up. But hey, friends learn to get along by not agreeing sometimes. However, start a fight in my sitting room with te rest of my friends or start spouting racists, xenophobic clap trap, spewing badly researched (or worse, cut and pasted) bullshit from a 'round robin' that refers to another countries social / welfare state, immigration policy, 'charitable giving' or foreign aid and I will block you and remove you from my friends list. I'm old enough to know that I have no time or patience for idiots or bigots.
