FanLevin is the main focus of book III so far, but I am really curious about Anna and Vronsky's predicament and how it is all going to play out!

Michael Wiles I find the Levin farming plot the best in the book so far, that chapter with him mowing was brilliant. -
Megan Marie I didn't really like the mowing chapter...it was brilliantly written, no doubt, and I didn't get bored with it, but to me it served no purpose to furthering the plot. However, Anna Karenina is supposedly a literary self-portrait of Tolstoy, so perhaps the benefits of simple, hard work in contrast to the flippancy of wealth was something important to hi -
Michael Wiles @megan_derthick I think it speaks well to what was happening in Russia at the time with the liberation of the serfs, also builds nicely into his theory on farming.
