Love this book so far its a great mash-up of vampire fiction, histroical fiction, and classic literature

Comes highly recommended. Going to start reading it now.

Great gothic tale! Newman manages to weave scores of characters and storylines and bring them together seamlessly. Draws heavily from Dracula and From Hell.

An awesome twist on Jack the Ripper. Don't know why I'm always reading this kind of thing at bedtime, though. You'd think I'd learn.

This book is like a fun, breezy version of LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN. Only with vampires.

Gruesome, fast-paced and packed with cameos by Victorian-era writers and their literary creations. Fun bit of alternative history.

Meh. It was not what I hoped for. Lots of Victorian name-dropping, which became annoying and somewhat lazy.
