However, I think the title is a bit misleading-what I mean is that I wouldn't have given this book a second look if someone hadn't recommended it to me...I would have just assumed it was about car racing, and I would have missed out on this WONDERFUL book!

"The car goes where the eyes go." Best book I've read in quite a while. I'm sad to finish it, but it's a good sad, like saying bye to a friend after dinner.

Heart wrenching! Written from the dog's point of view and it is an absolute tear-jerker. Who knew dogs could be so insightful?

I lost it. (Background: Lost the sweetest dog, who was basically my shadow, last May. It was a really quick progression of stomach cancer.)

Kevin @melissa_scott512 I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. :( I'm only about ten chapters in and can't stop looking at my dog and talking to him. He's 11 and having trouble walking etc and it just breaks my heart to know I won't have him with me always.
