Finished last night, now on to The Measure of the Magic.

150 pages in. Most of the action tends to be in the second half of his books.

Just starting the Legends of Shannara series.

Re-reading so I can finally read Measure of the Magic. One of my favorite authors.

Decent writing so far, but the names are still hit and miss and there appear to be no cultural or linguistic conventions to them at all (which has always bothered me).

Interesting start. But not as powerful or captivating as his earliest writing.

I love the prequels. Brooks says that even he gets confused with all the titles but these books have answered questions and posed new ones actually. He is just a fine story teller.

Couldn't pass up the hardcover edition for only $10 at the Borders going out of business sale.

This book is getting sooo good!!
