2nd read-love her writing. Anita blake is good,wish there ere more merry gentry novels,tho.

The mere fact that Laurell K Hamilton (through Anita Blake) mentions "The Holy Hand Grenade" (Monty Python) makes me love her even more.

Learn more about the marks in this one. It still bugs me that Anita is so jealous of Richard or Jean-Claude being with anyone else when she can never just settle down with just one of them. It is nice that she was able to reaffirm her faith and realize she isn't evil for living the way she has been. She finally understands her tie to Damien and learns more about the marks. Jean-Claude should have told her what was going on, so she had a right to be angry about that. The bad guys in this one were seriously bad. I never get why Anita and crew thought it good to pretend to leave town without telling Richard's family to leave or put them into hiding as well. Terrible oversight, that.

Re-reading Anita Blake book 8. I remember Richard being a huge D in this one.
