Boy that was one of the hardest books I ever had to read. Every page was like a salt-dipped lash to my bare back. But I read every hateful sentence and saw too much of our society in it.

Just finished.

Amazing book! straight forward enough to be an easy read, but deep and existential at the same time. So many thought provoking topics arise. I consider it to be a MUST READ.

An excellent contrast to 1984- both books have a similar message but deliver it in different perspective.

Compelling tales of a stratified society where no one questions, those who can do, and those who can't handle it sink into a near catatonic state induced by Soma, the narcotic of choice. From carefully monitored and controlled birth, people's destinies are decided; and yet it is someone who might be considered odd and subnormal, taken from outside civilised society who shakes everything up. A short, thoughtful, engaging read.

Among my favorite dystopian novels. Though, it hardly seems like a dystopia. You are engineered to love your social caste, desire has been Skinner Boxed out of the psyche, there are exciting things to distract you, everything is new beautiful and clean and you remain in a state of perpetual youth well into your 60s. Sign me up!

Another amazing book. One of the best. Def a FAVORITE! I highly recommend it! I love dystopia novels.

I just finished reading this book for the first time... I finally understood why people keep saying "It's not 1984 people, it's a brave new world". On a side note, I've kind of been pondering, if I had to chose between those two settings, which one would be worse? What do you guys think? I have to say, I hated all the characters in this book, and it kind of left me feeling numb and depressed. But, that actually made me like it overall.

This book was brilliant!. It asks the age old question: "What is the cost of a peaceful existence?"

one of the best books i have ever read

I had to read this book in one of my literature classes and so far everybody book on it was a bit dissapointing but I loved this one. It was easy to read and the book showed what the world we live in can look like. I highly recommend it!

great thesis about technology and the future. really makes us think about how we are progressing, and why.
