Vivienne D'Avalon I guess it was depressing for me because in my hopes for the singularity and transhumanism, we keep what's best of humanity and don't turn into animalistic creatures -- the power to move the heavens, yes; but preferably not destroying earth in the process! Theodore Dixon I agree with you... I find this book downright depressing... I love the idea of Humanity going to this higher level of awareness but not at the cost of well... humanity. These kids... And leaving their families...
