I just love Laurell K. Hamilton. I wish she'd allow her books (Anita Blake & Merry Gentry) to be made into movies or TV series.

My favorite author of all-time. I am currently re-reading through the Anita Blake series and then I'll probably re-read the Meredith Gentry series and get the books I'm missing. This book is incredible as are all the early Anita Blake's. Anita Blake is a bad ass. There is no other term that does her justice. Vampire executioner and zombie raiser she's already not your normal girl. Throw in her helping the police with preternatural crime and being caught between a werewolf and a vampire (back before that was in EVERY book) makes her live quite the interesting life. If you've not read this I highly suggest running out and picking up the first book in the series!

I began reading the Anita Blake series based on many recommendations, but found the first two books to be disappointing. With Circus of the Damned, book 3, I finally found what friends had led me to expect -- an exciting and bloodthirsty paranormal action tale. But having read Hamilton's Meredith Gentry series first, I'm still scratching my head at the lack of sex. Is it really the same author?

I think I'm liking audiobooks...they're like movies without the tv!
