I love Alice Hoffman :)

Masada! Extremely well written book - heartbreaking thus far

Really great book. Interesting to read about this period in history (70AD) from a female perspective. Also amazing that these events ever happened. Definitely worth a read!

Not since The Red Tent has a book taken me in so. Only on page 77 and I already feel part of me as 'the assasins daughter'. Powerful awesomeness.

Very ancient history made interesting. Some things change but basically we want the same things now as people wanted 2000 years ago

Just started...about 100 pages in. It is a terrific read so far! Love good historical fiction from a woman's perspective!

I love this book. Brings Masada to life. Yeah, I know the ending, as I've studied history. It was a hard time for the Jewish people back then.

The misery needs to end ASAP

Before I bought this book, one review said this book is depressing. My only thought was, she didn't know her history of Masada.
