Thought it was going to be post- apocalyptic, turned into more of a "rebuilding society" story. Still it was good very thoughtful, still modern considering it was wrote in the 50s.

Ryan Duff Yes that was my experience too. If you havent you need to read "one second after" That book is so good that its required reading for parts of the military. Also "day by day armageddon" and its sequel "day by day armageddon beyond exile" is post -apocalyptic with zombies. Personally thought those was actually BETTER then "World War Z". I'm reading / Lisening to THE STAND now, its a classic, but not the best in the post- apocalyptic genre.
