Trying to get through this book. Excellent read however, I have the attention span of a two-year-old. I need a flying donkey to appear or something...

So far chapter 4. This is moderately interesting so far. Just finished WATER FOR ELEPHANTS. That was fantastic.
            • Jess Falcone
Jess Falcone I ALWAYS read the novel first before the movie. So no. I am a virgin, lol. I like it a little so far. I have to have action and excitement in a novel because I have the attention span of a two year old. But I do relate to this story so far and it is making me think. Have u read it?

Levi @jess_falcone good for you on reading the novel first! I generally try to do that as well. I haven't read it yet, but the story and themes interest me. Let me know if it's worth the read once you finish it!

I seldom say that I like the movie as much as the book, but Eat, Pray, Love is one of the exceptions. Liz didn't sound to be exaggerating her ideas, she sounded honest and very open to me, and that's probably one of the things that I like about this book. It doesn't try hard to please people, to catch people's attention. I am impressed by how personal Eat, Pray, Love is written--personal enough to gain empathy, or perhaps sympathy. I like the fact that it was written in chapters that symbolized some sort of a rosary that Gilbert encountered in one of her travels. The tiredness that the author feels was very well expressed in the book. I've got so much to say but I better end this with my favorite passage from the book. :)

I have boundary issues with men. Or maybe that's not fair to say. To have issues with boundaries, one must have boundaries in the first place, right? But I disappear into the person I love. I am the permeable membrane. If I love you, you can have everything. You...

Check-In I don't think the movie did it any justice. Then again most movies don't compare to the book.
