I love how the author tried to blend historical characters and events with fictional characters, events and places. Historical characters only said and did things they did say or do or might have said and done in reality. Ken Follett sure knows his World History. The novel is almost a thousand pages long but the pages just fly by. A truly enjoyable novel.

Looking forward to sinking into some Turn of the Century (19th) Drama!! Family Drama on a Worldwide scale :P
