A quirky and awesome read. I'm about a third of the way through and loving it so far. I was so caught up in it that I missed by subway stop on the way home the other night.

The Family Fang is a novel about a quirky family. The parents, Caleb and Camille Fang, are performance artists and the kids, Annie and Buster, also participate in the performances, or happenings. Talk about an extreme example of objectifying your children. The parents even go as far as to referring to their kids as Child A and Child B, and not just in reference to the performances. As you can imagine, these kids grow up to be not exactly stable and end up moving back home for a little while. Now that Annie and Buster are adults themselves, they realize they no longer have to be a part of their parents' art, but end up getting sucked in anyway. The kernel of the story is whether or not they will be able to successfully break apart from their parents' mental clutches.
