Farrah I don't know what 1984's about, but I agree with you on F451. I mean, it teaches us how to identify and use literary devices, and DEFINETELY improves our vocabulary and reading comprehension (I know I'M not used to his writing -_-"), but I just hate how he writes >:/ -
Reuben Hood 1984 is George Orwell's masterpiece about a futuristic society (much like our own) where the government controls all information that gets out to the people- to the point of altering history. "he who controls the past, controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past" is the main theme. And the idea of "big brother is watching" came from this book. Although I never read in in school- I read it as an adult - you can see how our world can so easily be bent to the will of a strong government -
Farrah That sounds interesting. I'd probably like it ^.^ Thanks
