Re-reading this book for the first time in years... Still blown away by it!

I really enjoyed all of VC Andews books.

I'm reading the series again! Been a few years since I read this and she was just such a brilliant writer. Really makes you feel the emotion of the characters.

The horror begins...

V C Andrews was a tremendously talented author! Flowers in the Attic was the first of her books I read and I couldn't wait for the next book to come out...

This book is absolutely trash-tastic!

Gonna try to get in at least one chapter before I go to sleep.

This should be a quick read. I read it a minion years ago, wonder how I'll like it this time around.

The book... YES... The MOVIE... LAME... but you gotta love the 80's movies... lol.

This was a great book and got me hooked on all her books but the movie was joke.

One story that has stuck with me for years! I'm reading the series all over again!

I own 60 something different VC Andrews books, almost all of her series. Just a few here or there missing. Been reading her stuff since I was in middle school. Over 10years now

Reading the entire series again. Yes, I know it's not great literature, but she's a guilty pleasure. ;-)

Despite being a pretty avid reader my whole life, I somehow missed this disgusting, misogynistic, rite of passage gem.

I really want to read more of Andrews' books! She has such a style that is melodramatic, but this is far better than what you could possibly hope to see on television.

Just read this (and petals in the wind because the book I have has both in one) for like the 5th time. Good book. First actual book I've actually read in over 6 months lol :P

Was a V.C. Andrews fanatic when i was a kid - wayyy too young to be reading all of that, but, still did. I loved this series. The movie is ok. I'd love to cast and direct a new one! Hell, yes!

The movie just doesn't give the book enough credit. Waiting for a remake...

Just an FYI, these 5 books and "My Sweet Audrina", which was and still is the only book that's not a series, are the only books that V. C. Andrews wrote before she died in 1986. After her death she did have some manuscripts & the family hired a ghostwriter who has been writing her books ever since. I truly think this is why this series of the Dollanganger family has remained her most popular series. I've read a few if the other series & although good, they just don't compare to the essence of this series.
