Finished this huge volume today. I was reluctant to buy this since I saw the movie version starring Johnny Depp. I soon found out that these are two different stories. The huge reveal in the movie is revealed in the first chapter of this book. The real story is seeing every level of society deals with the Jack the Ripper murders and how long will it take for them to put all the pieces together. The only down point of the story is the last chapter. Alan Moore tries to get spiritual and fails. The strength lies in the drama and view of insanity into our characters mind.

An entertaining read based somewhat on Stephen Knight's excellent, though disproven "Jack the Ripper: The Final Solution"

I'm having to put my historical knowledge to one side and enjoy this as pure entertainment, but I am enjoying this. It was tough going at the start, though.
