Love this book! So excited to be reading it again.

When my son, who does not like to read very much anymore, tells me how much he enjoyed a book, I just HAVE to check it out. So far, pretty good.

i read this while in middle school, which was ages ago and i still re-read it and it captivates me every time

Surprisingly good so far, the premise is amazingly thought out. The cover definately steers you away at first lol

Amazing. It doesn't matter how old i become this book still fascinates me.

North Korea is on the world's collective mind and Amazon has a sale on dystopian fiction. Capitalism rocks!

Even people who don't like to read love this book. It's a quick read and, although deep, easy to follow. The Giver makes you appreciative of things you never would have thought about before.

I re-read this about once a year. Always a favorite.

Reading Lindsay's 8th grade reading assignment.It's a good book so far!

Definitely a must-read, even by older adults. The ending threw me off a little bit so I'm hoping for some closure in the next books.

Just finished a Lois Lowry threesome --The Giver, The Messenger, and Gathering Blue..if you didn't read these in 7th grade, you'll never get too old to enjoy them!

I know it is a kids book, but it is one I loved then and now that I am trying to read more ... I dicided for this to be book 2 of my new trying to read campain... I Started to read yesterday, Yeah

My son let me borrow his copy. Such a good book but such a sad story. I'm almost a little sad my son read it & experienced the pain, sorrow, frustration & loneliness of Jonas.
