Took the book on my latest flight and talked to a (born into) Mormon for over an hour. He finally admitted that no one can tell him how a loving God can really allow so many natural disasters and horrible atrocities happen to hurt and kill so many people. He sat dead quiet and was really thinking for the last hour of the flight. I felt bad for him and yet I hope he found the spark he needed to let go of forced guilt and move on living his life without it.

I got my book packed for the plane ride, Penn, you rock bro.

The book is mostly a memoir, with a loose thread of atheism running throughout.

Finished it! I agree with most of his statements.

Turning preaching to the choir into a great time.

Reading again. Funny, insightful, and emotional.

Man, this is a great book so far, it's making me laugh so much!

Audiobook was fantastic!

Finally getting started on this, after having it for weeks while I read the Crossan book. Awesome.

To be a real atheist, I believe, means to say that there absolutely is not a god, but to know that something does not exist you would have to know everything and thus be at least god-like.

Just finished reading/listening to it. Great book!

Fourth time listening to the book. Such a fun, touching, and thought promoting book.

This book is keeping me on the crapper a lot longer than my bodily functions require.
