I read the book twice. The only real difference between the book and the movie was Scarlett had children with all of her husbands not just Rhett. Books are always better. You can use your imagination on what things look like, felt like, and smelled like. I first read this book when I was 14 years old. Then again when I was 17 years old. I am now 58 years old and it is still my favorite book. I have always wanted to read "Hawaii." But,with going on to x-ray, getting married, working, having children maybe now is the time. It has something like 900 pages. At least that is what it was when I was a teenager! Enjoy "Gone With The Wind." I did.

so far, movie followed the book surprisingly close. Book is better.

I'm am determined to read this in its entity.

I'm really trying to get through this but its a slow read for me. Hoping it picks up soon.

Chapter 50ish. Got 6 hrs left on audiobook.

Continuing with my re-reading of this, although I'm not enjoying it as much as I did when I was younger.

I set aside the book I started last night in favor of re-reading Gone with the Wind, which I haven't read since I was a teenager.

I'm actually listening to the audio version, all 50+ hours of it. By the end, I'll probably be insane. Or talking with a southern accent.
