I think this is the third time I've read this. It frightens me how many people in this day and age might read this and think the dystopia of Gilead would be a great idea.

Because if I don't read it 2x/yr, my brains fall out.

A disturbing book in how women are used but enjoyed it a lot. A classic of sorts. Literary of course.

I've decided to create a read list if dystopian novels. Hunger Games series done, finish up The Handmaid's Tale and go from there. I'm excited about this. It'll keep my mind busy.

Haunting, depressing, fascinating. Timeless. Hard to believe it was written in the 80s. Scary to think it is still very relevant today....

Just finished it's an amazing book that everyone should read. Though maybe not in high school like my wife did. Not sure if the maturity is there yet.

Just learned that the hunger games are a dystopian fiction (just learned what that was too) so I've decided to read another acclaimed one.

Every time I hear religious anti-women rhetoric, I think "Atwood was right." Seems high time to read this book again.

I was suprised I hadn't ever read this. Very interesting and the issue of women's reproductive rights vs relgion is very topical. I enjoyed the read.
