Hitchens had a brilliant mind, it's sad that he's gone; however, his legacy remains.

This man was a master with words.

Just finished it. Kind of emotional, knowing he had less than two years to live when he published this amazing book. What an absolutely incredible human being.

People who cruelly dismiss Hitchens policy need to read the part of his memoir about his stance and feelings on it. He was deeply frustrated and sad about the criminal handling of the war, and he supported the overthrow of Hussein because of a deep hatred of tyrants and a deep loyalty to his friends who suffered under Saddam.

Just finished and all I can say is: what an amazingly intelligent man, both in being highly educated & as an original thinker.

Hitchens deserves his place upon whichever pillars of greatness he's placed

I feel saddened, like im reading the words of A man who knows his time is nearly done.

Starting this memoir tomorrow.

It's been awfully difficult to not read this book all in one sitting. I dread putting it down :(

I need a dictionary by my side when I read this - he's just so damn intelligent.
