Good so far. I don't read much science fiction, but I'm enjoying this.

Very good 1989 Hugo winning novel, except this volume doesn't resolve the plot at all. The publisher broke it in two parts so now I need to read Fall of Hyperion to finish the story.

I cannot praise this book enough. Some of the best science fiction I have ever read.

The writing is fantastic but I can't stand Martin Silenus' back story; he is a complete ass!

Ouch, the story of Rachel Weintraub tears at my heart. And while I understand Sol's conclusion about Abraham's sacrifice & so forth, I cannot agree with it.

I wish I could remember what happens to Silenus, I want him dead.
