Really enjoyed it!

Rarely have I a read a book that builds such a unique or memorable world, and the story is top-notch as well.

Stunning book that has held my interest still two months after finishing. After coming to Simmon's after the disappointing 'Drood' I was astonished to see the same author. Tremendous world building, spectacular storytelling and a wonderful method of bringing old themes to a post-humanist situation.

First of a four book series, continuing with _The Fall of Hyperion_, _Endymion_, and _The Rise of Endymion_. Each book peels away layers, and you discover the situation isn't quite what you thought it was. The Stfnal turn on Chaucer's Canterbury Tales in Hyperion id a tour de force.

Epic... and confusing. Distances and time frames are dealt with here that boggle the mind.

Could use a little less luddism, but interesting.

The Hyperion Cantos are among my top ten SF works of all time. A true masterpiece.
