I'm loving this book so much. Dan Simmons has to be one of the most versatile authors I've ever read. So lucky to have won this in a competition. Great read.

Reads like a futuristic Canterbury Tales (stories within a story) and there are similarities between the two novels (a group of people, each with their own dark secret, undergoing a pilgrimage). The characters are well-developed and intriguing. Truly a sci-fi classic.

This is a fantastic book... I've read the whole series over and again... highly recommend them all
