Amazing how much medicine has changed, I had a lot of mixed feeling about her family. I felt the theme of their concern was all money; not about the good her cells did for advancement in medicine.

Amazing/heartbreaking story from the start. Taking it in on this rainy Sunday.

Just Finished, gonna read a happy book next, but I do recommend this one.

This is a non-fiction book about the HeLa cells. In 1951 cells taken from Henrietta Lacks became the mother of generations of cells used in every type of research/cure imaginable. The whole concept blows my mind which is how the book caught my attention. Thankfully it's written so that non-science types like myself can appreciate and understand without wigging out on a lot of terminology.
