Trish DeBroeck This isn't a come on (I am a happily married lady, thankyouverymuch), but when I find myself on your profile I avoid looking at your picture because your eyes draw me in then I giggle. WTF is up with that?

At last, Jean Valjean! Can't decide whether he looks more like Liam Neeson or Hugh Jackman in my head.

When Hugo sticks to the story, this is as good as literature gets. When he pauses in the middle of the action for 150 pages of background information about French military histotry or the Paris sewer system, it's less than riveting. If you read the first 100 pages or so, you'll be hooked.

It's a long book but a pehnomenal book! For the fact that Victor Hugo was a poet and not so much a novelist, this is aamazing.
