Ginette Rennie I never read the Lord of the Rings, perhaps I should. Loved the Hobbit as a child as well. Impressive reading material for a 7yr old. I devoured books as a kid so trying to pass on my love of reading..

Ginette Rennie I'm the same...always reading something. That's great that you loved it so much as a kid..these days books have a lot of competition. But my kids see me reading all the time and seem to be following in my footsteps :-)

I still love this book (and the other titles in the Narnia series). I must have been 11 or 12 when I was first introduced to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by the animated movie version. I was hooked and immediately had to read all the books in the series. My old set has moved with me from city-to-city, country-to-country. I love the tale and still weep every time Aslan sacrifices himself on the Stone Table.
