I read this a long time ago and still have my copy on my shelf, sitting next to a leather bound copy of Hitchhikers. Douglas Adams was a genius, pure and simple. Neil Gaiman, perhaps, is the only other writer who, in my opinion, lives at this level in the scifi/fantasy.modern myth genre.
