Got my book in the mail today will start reading it!

Ordered the book,can't wait to read it even if I know it will make me cry. I've followed theses dogs since dogtown featured it on their show.

I tell everyone about this book. It is heart breaking but the outcome is a good one.

I hope that people will continue to read this book and never forget what happened to these dogs & continues to happen to others out there.

This was an amazing look into the awful and brutal treatment of fighting dogs. A must read.

Thank you Jim Gorant for writing this book. Gruesome? Yes in parts, but cruelty to animals is gruesome. I learned so much from this book-how dogs think, about the pit bull breeds & how the patience of Job is needed for these pups. And god bless those that foster and adopt these dogs. It's hard not to hate Vick after this. There are other rings out there that need to be shut down, but Vick was caught. I am not so forgiving to his plight. Most incredible fact to me: this was the first dog fighting ring where the dogs were rehabbed and not destroyed.

I saw an episode of Dogland a few years back that covered the rehabilitation of some of these dogs. I need something heartwarming right now.

I think the NFL & Eagles and Michael Vick should be put on a chain. Most of the dogs have been rescued and redeemed, but as far as Vick, I doubt it.

I don't think that son of a Bitch Vick payed nearly enough for his actions. Sick bastard!!!

I got about 30 pages in and quit. I can't. Sending it back to the library today.

Thought Michael Vick Did his time and deserved a little forgiveness. Now...not so sure.

Just finished it, what a great story of redemption for the dogs, and what a classless piece of vile filth Michael Vick and his cronies are.

As the dog murderer Vick takes the field just remember that he personally took part in killing at least 9 dogs, one by slamming it repeatably on the ground. This book does not go into the details of the crime but the rehab and redemption of these damaged dogs. I have known a few pitbulls, and I will admit at times I have brought into the myths around them, but this book shows that dogs are dogs, they want love, affection, a pack, and a home. If you can forgive and forget about Vicks crimes why not the rumors about his dogs. Read this book and you will see what a few good people can do for some very lucky dogs. The lost dogs is a must read for anyone who loves dogs.
