A beautiful and touching book, despite the horrific circumstances that set the story in motion. It was a fascinating examination of the fallout a tragedy has on the lives of a family over many years. Can't wait to see the film, despite the negative reviews.

I thought it was very well written, however I personally didn't like how she wrapped it up. It seemed like she was straining to end the story.

I can't wait for the film. Alice Sebold is an amazing writer. I love how the story is told from the perspective of a dead girl, yet not in a depressing way. I also love the ending - happy, yet bittersweet.
