Crazy so far. I need to pick back up on this. I'm only about quarter of the way through the book.

Beautifully written and painfully raw. A must read.

Quite unusually for me, 'A Million Little Pieces' took me over a month to finish. It's so powerful in its simplicity and stream of consciousness style that it takes time to sink in. People say that James Frey made a lot of stuff up, but even if he did that's not what the best part of this book is about. It's about a guy and how he deals with addiction, rather than whether he made up the bits about a mobster godfather or killing a priest. Even if you treat it completely as a work of fiction it SUCH a good read.

Good book even tho it's fiction. I know a lot of people were pretty disappointed after feeling like they could really relate to him and then finding out he made up a lot if it.

Disappointed that it was more fiction than a real autobiography. Would've given it more credibility instead of just bein a good story. Still a good read though.

I really liked this. I am a recovering addict and its semi relatable

This is a must read! I can't put this book down

Read this book about 7 times or so now. Love it, never will get bored of it.

So far my favorite part is when he is describing the scene when he goes to the dentist

Even though a lot of events in this book were fake, I still loved every bit of it. I also liked the follow up, My Friend Leonard. I think Frey is brilliant. This is a story I'll never forget.

Finished. No wonder he was caught for making up the book his drug references weren't even in the correct decades. Quaaludes in the 90's LOL, page 23. Busted!

So it was mis-categorized. Doesn't lessen the quality of the writing. And the bad publicity was probably good business in the end.

His writing style is unique and flows so easily, although it must have been difficult to write. I was moved to tears many times. Great book!
