Just finished reading this. Quite an insightful look at how the Oakland A team changed the game. The last chapter on this version dealt with all the negative reaction to the publication of the book. Some people just don't want to read anything that runs contrary to their beliefs.

              THEN I'll watch the movie.

Done. That postscript is some of the best writing I've seen anywhere.

Much better then the movie. Every baseball coach should read this book.

Don't think this will help me win my fantasy league, but it can't hurt to try.

Such a great story. I really feel for Beane's unfortunate playing career. But he won when it counted!

Just about done. Great read, but I wonder how much impact any of this has actually had on professional baseball. I'm pretty sure the inmates are still running the asylum.

Would've been nice if the Yankees weren't so dominate during that time. Geeks win!

Finished reading last night, really enjoyed this book and seeing how an "alternate" approach to running a team worked. Curious to now see how the movie was translated from this.

This book relates so well to the tv business. Sometimes you just gotta get on base.

Very interesting. Can't wait to finish and see the movie.
