Just finally read Neuromancer and discovered Gibson is more of a genius than I already thought!

Distrust That Particular Flavor is the title of William Gibson's new book. It is a collection of essays and articles. As soon as I get a copy I will read it.

Still an all-time favorite. William Gibson has a new book out.

Put this book down a month or 2 ago. Hope I remember what's happening.

Necromancer won the Hugo, Nebula & Philip Dick award in 83-84. It inspired, briefly, the sub-genre of cyberpunk. It's credited with coining the term CyberSpace and the matrix used interchangeably. Unfortunately it's not a very good novel and won all those awards, I think, because it came out the same time as Blade Runner. Comparisons were made. Like most elections most people have no idea what they're voting for and I think many voted for this William Gibson 1st novel on that basis. Not recommended.

I am thinking about rereading this.

Finished, awesome book

Reading it the first time since 18 years. I would have thought it is completely retro nowadays, but actually it feels the opposite. Nice surprise.

Starting the audiobook, been wanting to read this for years. Though tonight I'm hoping it will help me fall asleep.

Always one of my favorite books...a little worried now that I keep reading about them making it into a movie.

Because it is the best book ever written. Must have read it about a dozen times.
