Jane Austen's 6th Major Novel. Already watched the movie, and planning to read the book.

Really wanting to finish this by Friday.

Reading a little bit before I head back to work.

The novel is a lot easier after a few good chapters. It's kind of like reading another language.

Definitely needing to start back. Here we go!

I'm actually loving this a lot more than I thought I would!

Introducing the Morland and Thorpe brothers.

I must say that I am loving the early development of Catherine Morland. She is quite familiar to the modern day woman yet divided by hundreds of years.

It's definitely a bit more challenging of a read than many modern pieces but that's the true art of it!

Not particularly sure what possessed me to choose this novel from her many classics but I've been meaning to get around to reading it!

How glad I am that Northanger is what it is! If it had been like some other places, I do not know that, in such a night as this, I could have answered for my courage.

20 pages shy of finishing. I'm at the part where Eleanor comes in the room to tell Catherine her time is come to make leave of Northanger.

On chapter 19 of 31. I love rereading this classic novel.

But when a young lady is to be a heroine, the perverseness of forty surrounding families cannot prevent her. Something must and will happen to throw a hero in her way.

Reread this novel back in October, and now I'm rereading it again. I never tire of reading Northanger.

Chapter 13, page 78 of 210. I can't stand the Thorpes! Even the influence on James! Poor Catherine!

Chapter 6, page 24 of 210, so basically Catherine and Isabella are fangirls in Jane Austen's time.

For Dixie-Ann, I'll read it again for your benefit, then watch the J.J. Feild series again!

i love jane but i dont really care for the more gothic elements in this novel.
