Generally my policy with my favorites would be to re-read all of them prior to the new release. This one is still my favorite of the Anita Blake Vampire Slayer series, then I ended up with so many new favorite authors it was impossible to do! :). I truly hope LKH will be back on the path the series was on before it took such a poor turn. I'm still a faithful reader, just not so much after this one.

I really need to go to bed but I'm on chapter 35 & its got me!!!! I wanna know whats the deal with big bad Olaf

Just when I want to hate Anita Blake she captures me again. Excited to start book 9 & Edward is coming back I missed him

Finished it today. Amazing! I was so surprised with Edward...and Olaf?! Great read.

Not my favorite of the series but that's due to personal stuff. I still love Edward & Olaf & especially Bernardo.

Just finished book 9 now its time for Narcissus in Chains... I am obsessed with Anita Blake.

I guess I do like this book because I find Edward fascinating but I miss all my favorite Vamps, kitties and wolves!

Back to it...I do like that we learn about Edward but I miss all the Vamps and Wares! Especially Jean-Claude, Asher and Nathaniel!

Meh...not one of my favorites. Even though I live them all I like the books set in St. Louis, the best.

I love this one. We get a lot more Edward and to see a side of him you would never expect to see.

Oddly enough Obsidian is my favourite Vampire outside of Jean-Claude and Asher

Hands down my favorite of all the Anita Blake novels. Edward reminds me the people I worked with in the service.
