Ok, I've tried to read this book a couple of times and put it down. Determined to finish it this time.

Always have loved this book... I also love that is available free on kindle.

read Austen, it is above all prepare to enter another world, a world where it is outdated issue of great houses of English high society, respect of propriety and convention.

I have to admit, the only thing I know about this one is that Captain Wentworth comes back from the navy and goes "I'm a Captain now. So forget you!"

God this feels like one of the most relevant and in-depth novel. I know everyone is about "Pride and Prejudice," however "Persuasion" hits at the core of what I think women deal with even today; the pressures on relying on popular opinion whether from society or family...I will say, though, this book has a lot of people suffering bad falls, lol.

getting my Jane Austin on...

I'm loving this book. I am a recent Jane Austen convert. To think she wrote this book whilst suffering with the illness that killed her. A wonderful book.
