The movie should have stayed closer to the book and it should have been split into two parts. I'd have like to see Neil Jordan or Tarantino direct the film(s) also.

Ugh, this book took me forever to finish this time around! Unfortunately, my life's events allotted for only 1-2 pages of reading per day. Now I just realized that I can't find my copy of The Tale of the Body Thief (the next book in the series)... looks like I'll be heading to the library to see if they have a copy or else I'll be visiting eBay...

Queen was very interesting. I liked the historical part of it. Going back to how it all began.

i love the description of QotD. love it. poweful.childish.selfish. no selfrestraint. the idea she cant possible feel any remorse is almost incomprehensible. there are just sooooooo many aspects of her and the book in general that does not transfer to the movie. such a shame cuz the idea of her becoming a new diety in the world is horrifying.

Very curious to see how this compares w Lestat...

We also meet the Talamasca, a very unique organization, who will play a big role in the series of Mayfair Witch Chronicles and their new recruit Jesse and old scholar David. Some old friends also arrive to help Lestat or destroy him

ahhh that explains a lot. Also, am thinking of dressing as Akasha for Halloween. I'm not a huge fan of hers but come on, an undead Egyptian queen sounds pretty awesome!
