Finished this up. So complex and so interesting. Historical fiction, but read like history. Taking a break before the next, but I will be back.

This is a really good book with some really great lines, but I've had to re-read a fair amount of it to try to keep everything straight. Wish I remembered all my history better, so I could easily remember who was a contemporary of whom. Meeting a young Isaac Newton is pretty fun.

"But wasn't it all stupid nonsense, rot, gibberish, and criminally fraudulent nincompoopery?" Ah, this could refer to do many things today...
