I've read and re-read this book, I have my original, first edition hardcover and it is worn to the spine. This book is one of Palahniuk's masterpieces (in my opinion amongst a triumvirate of my favs alongside Haunted and Diary). The contextual subject matter of liminal time wrapped up in so many subversive and taboo socio-political speculations serves to exhibit the genius of a master story-weaver time and time again (no pun intended). Bravo, Mr. Palahniuk, I cherish your genius :)

Maybe 10% too long, but overall a good blend of sci fi and small town drama, would make a great movie that no one would see...

Kerri Babbitt So glad I wasn't the only one to not completely realize what was happening until the end. Then again, that's kind of Chuck Palahniuk's style.

Even Fight Club pales in comparison to the awesomeness that is the biography of Rant Casey :)
