GREAT BOOK! Love the fraught, teeth-gnashing tension between an abused wife and her cruel, monster of a husband who happens to be a cop... The story ramps up when she decides to leave to a city more than 800 miles away, forcing the cop husband to pull out all the stops and use every dirty, underhanded method to find her and "talk to her up close." Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Perfect commercials book...! I can't believe I have never read this book before! So good...

Loved it. Finished it. Now on to A Clash of Kings.

It's the kind of book that hooks you, you do not tire of reading, although in the end have been quite surreal is a great book, I recommend.

He blew me away as well with what seemed to be a REAL understanding of not only what it's like to live in a woman's world, but also what it's like to be terrorized. Putting aside being hit, it's the mental, emotional, spiritual, and very PERSONAL ways someone you love or loved can hurt you.

A GREAT story with a great sideline into a spectacular dream world when she goes into this "special" painting.

This poor woman in this story was so brutalized, but it's SO great when the "bad guy" gets what's coming to him!!

SK is my favorite author. This book... Wow! I thought the abuse I endured was bad. And I'm only half through it.
