On chapter 7, am loving this book

Reading comments about SHANTARAM -- very excited to read, only a little daunted by 900+ pages. So far, the writing pulls you right in! ;-)

So I will begin my enormous adventure book (900+ pages?!) for Midtown Atlanta Book Group -- June AND July 2012...

Back to this book for the summer. Excellent! Very well written, so far.

And Johnny Depp playing the lead character, Lin, in the film version? Whatever portions they've already filmed, I'd pay to see. I'd love to see Depp's interpretation. ^_^
There's no way I could recommend this book more & feel blessed to have come across it.
