Up far, far too late last night (okay, this morning) reading this. Thought I would skim ahead but found it impossible to just skim. The first chapter was excellent. I don't think the rest ever really lived up to its promise, although it was still very good. Obviously, since I was up reading until 4:30. Now if I could just keep my eyes open today …

I just started reading this book, and I'm loving it so far.

Couldn't be at the book signing, but still got a signed copy.

Absolutely wonderful. Great read. The 1960's are apart of our lifetime. (or your parents). How far we have come.....so happy this has changed.

On my reading list ~ can't wait!

This is the story of two people who meet while institutionalized, fall in love, escape, become separated, and reunite after overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Beautifully crafted novel.

Trying to finish it ... a disturbing yet poignant story. *sigh*

Excellent read so far....good writing..moving, gripping story

Excellent, excellent read. This is a literary novel that is so lush and ripe with setting and characters, you could almost take a bite out of it.
