Current read. It's an interesting look at the characters that comprise the American Pantheon (super heroes), how they came about and what they say about American culture. Morrison has an almost divine ability to capture heady concepts in simple enough prose. Recommended to all fans of caped crusaders.

after I'm done with this I'm going to have a serious checklist of comics and graphic novels to get through..

Interesting history of comics and what they say about the human condition.

Picking this up again to re-read the section about Morrison's reinvention of himself. I could really use a fiction suit right about now.

47 pages in and really enjoying it.

195 pages on and I get to read about the comics I witnessed: The Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen etc. Amazing.

Turning out to be an even better read than I expected. And I expected a lot.

So awesome to learn Lois Lane was made to spend 24 hours as a black woman during the 60s!

Superhero history and philosophy. Took a long while before I read any insights I didn't already have (mostly Morrison's thoughts on his own work), but fun overall.

I picked this up on the recommendation of my brother David and haven't been able to put it down since Tuesday. I love the mix of history and personal reflection that Morrison brings to the comics field, and now I have more desire to check out the books of past ages that I usually wrote off as uninteresting.

Kind of sad that it's finished. It was like having Grant around to talk to. I'll definitely revisit it someday.

Home stretch! About 20 pages left.
