Don't get me wrong, some men can write awesome female protagonists, but in this particular case where a man is trying to write a YA dystopian novel in which the main theme is identity and the concept of beauty... it's falling seriously flat so far. The concept has a lot of potential so i'm holding out and hoping it gets better!

A really good series so far. I highly suggest them to people who enjoyed the dystopian style of the Hunger Games or Equilibrium, but less violent than either. Very interesting so far.
