Excellent read, bought the CD for the Broadway musical--one of my favorites and the book "Wicked, the Grimmerie."

Just got done started two days ago

Not what I expected at all. Interesting. How in the world did they make this into a play?

This is a really good story! I am about halfway through and the storyline is unpredictable and exciting!

3 years ago I tried to read this book. At the time I was in the middle of buying my first house, so I really couldn't get into it. Now I'm trying it again with a new perspective and I'm glad I did! Gregory Maguire has this amazing ability to write two sentences about a character yet somehow you feel like you know them.

Re-reading before reading the other books

Read to my wife, now she's fast asleep and she reminds me of another fairytale of the lovely sleeping beauty. <3

It's such a "heavy" book that I can't read it for more than a few chapters at a time.

Second time through. Going back and re-reading them all before reading the final installment ... Out of Oz.

Rereading it so I can finish up the series.

Very different from the musical that was inspired by it and very good on it's own. Certainly more introspective and political than a love story, so be prepared.

Wow I wonder how someone read this and thought, "Hey! Let's make this a musical!"

I'm just in the 10th page or so but so far it's been a good book. I already know the story (because like everyone else in the world I love the musical) but it's been great.

I feel in love with a witch the day I opened this book. It's been a wonderful relationship!
