On the whole, I think I am a fairly straightforward dude. I dress casually and go entirely without piercings, tattoos, eccentric beard-growth or anabolic steroids. My living room is not filled with snakes in terrariums, skull-chandeliers or posters of playboy bunnies. I do not pose in front of mirrors without a shirt on and shoot profiles pictures of it. It’s not that I am dead set against these things, by the way, it’s just not something I’d do to my own body or living quarters. My curiosity drives me forward into realms that the lesser interested might deem a little geeky or nerdy. However, what I’ve learned is that the most interesting things happen on spots of the map that say “unknown” and “here be dragons.” I guess what I am trying to say is: I’ve stopped hiding my Star Wars dvd’s, the fact that I like to write awful stories that never get finished, I follow American politics pretty closely and that I read books that involve worlds that never existed. I also read science books about parasites, meteor impacts, the history of the ancient world and languages.
